That upper abdomiynal has to be very firm to control the air flow and create a fast pressure of air . She has to lock in the rib and costal muscles to keep the diaphragm against the lung. Otherwise she will use too much air.

What is missing if she’s not using the glutes and the lower body to support , diaphragmatic and costal breathing the upper body will not be in play. Just have her stand against the wall and it’ll take the upper body away from her and the inhalation process will be perfect. This is the Belcanto style of singing very controlled.

She is trying to whiten her voice! This is bad teaching. She already has a jaw tremolo. This teaching will make everything worse. This pupil has potential in the right hands. The teacher is giving directions that are confusing and contradictory.

The girl has no energy in playing... you cant insert energy in her... She is not good pianist. This composition is very hard for her. She dont understand it.

Do not agree with Hough at 8:03 I much prefer Rubenstein's recording where he plays the this in strict time. This is a funeral march; it is not something to dance to. I actually preferred Ms. Lim-Rose interpretation of the piece.

Ms. Fleming is extraordinary. I have noticed that she tries to keep singers from over singing every note. Tell the story, put in the emotion and not every note has to be a power blast. Genius!

Wow, she is amazing. Wish I could have either heard her play it again after being given some time to incorporate the lesson, or have the teacher play the song the way he's recommending it be played.

Proper breath control and placement of the voice are the foundations of superlative singing. This beautiful student has such a gorgeous voice she just needed some tuning up. Renee is a very talented singer Most singers cannot teach. That dress ROCKED.

You have converted me to Messiaen Heard Debussy in there . Bravo I get poorly hearing atonal music but loved this . Might try it if I can decipher the score . Bravo well done .

There is a discrepancy here: according to Andras Schiff, Beethoven's metronome is in fact FULLY WORKING and therefore crotchet = 138 is real.
